Madelyn's Fund
Donating to a Great Cause!
Nate Lonnen and Juliano Art had the great pleasure of donating a table for auction at the May, 2018 fundraiser for the Madelyn's Fund. We love supporting the community and the amazing causes that help people in times of need. Madelyn’s Fund, is a non-profit designed to support NICU families at every stage of the process, including families who experience the trauma of losing a child. This includes the little details, like providing car seats or cribs, paying for training for out-patient procedures or even gas cards for some families who need to travel to visit their child in the NICU.

Juliano Artists Design New Office in South End for Costello REI!
Juliano Art has taken its talents to South End! This summer, Nate Lonnen had the honor of designing a brand new office space for Costello Realty & Investments as they made the move from their Park Road office to a new location in the bustling South End. When approached by friend and Costello REI owner, John Costello, he was simply asked to create "something nobody else had." A couple requested pieces quickly turned into several commissioned works that brought life and originality to their 6,000 sq ft. space. With help from fellow Juliano artist and local photographer Amy Witt, the two put together an assemblage of custom works that seemlessly displayed the genuine heart and character of Costello REI while paying homage to the beautiful Queen City!
Nate’s art greets you at every turn as you step inside the doors. A custom sign made of reclaimed barn wood welcomes guests in the lobby and proudly boasts the signature Costello REI logo. Above the reception desk hangs a hand-made wall clock cut from red oak sourced locally in Charlotte and antique keys that adorn each hour.
Inside the conference room sits a hand-crafted table that was the product of several months of hard work! The 11ft x 5ft conference table was created from reclaimed barn wood and concrete, and sits on steel legs formed from a local Charlotte welder. Catching the eye of all who walk into the room is “Urban Glow,” a large oil on canvas cityscape, also created by Nate, that depicts the never-ending energy of the Queen City, even as she sleeps. Heading into the back, you approach a custom-built bar that was a last-minute request! Clients can enjoy a celebratory drink on the solid red oak slab bar top. Barn wood holds everything in place and the Costello logo burned into the front makes it a one-of-a-kind staple in the office.
All down the halls you can view Charlotte from a unique eye through photos taken exclusively by Amy of Amy Witt Photography. Pieces of the city are captured in each photograph, focusing on the beauty, history, and diversity that go unnoticed every day.
Be sure to check out the pictures below! And if you are ever in need of real estate advice head to Costello REI and see the great work in person.

New Commission Piece done by Nate Lonnen
"Blue Sky" 4'x4' Acrylic on Canvas
This was the piece completed and installed for a very thrilled client! Nate has a very specific way in which he likes to deal with commission work for people just looking for a piece that defines them. Nate invites you to have a personal one on one conversation in order to really understand who you are. He actually takes the time to get to know you and what really defines you. He then takes what he learns and truly tries to capture the essence of you, for a one of a kind piece that touches you. For this particular piece Nate tried to work with the colors of the room that his client wanted the piece to be in, while also knowing that his client wanted something to really pop to make that room truly hers. Through their conversations, Nate found out that music was something his client was very passionate about. She and her husband not only played the guitar together (which also happened to be a gift she received from her husband) she also loved to sing. So Nate found out there wedding song and also a few more of her favorite songs. He then incorporated those songs into the piece to truly make this a specifically personal piece to her.
