"The Abyss" by Nate Lonnen

​The Abyss is actually made up of 2 paintings “Into the Dark” (The mainly white piece) and “”Into the Light” (The mainly black piece). They both have so much to say standing alone but when they are put together their meaning becomes complete. In this blog I am actually going to try to do something a bit different. I want to hear from you and what you have to say about these to pieces. If you have read the past recent blogs you should have an idea of where I was going with these pieces. From your comments hopefully we can have an intriguing conversation. To start it off, tell me what you think: Are the figures trying to escape or being pulled into their particular void?
