"Duality Twins" is my version of Yin and Yang. Depending on the choices we make where do those take us? Do we go into the darkness to enlighten it or into the light to corrupt it? Or are we accepting of each of these forces and allowing ourselves to embrace them both? Is it true that we can actually find balance and harmony between the two? These are some of the questions I asked myself while I was creating this piece. I am not sure how to answer these questions that I pondered so heavily. Yet I do know, that we should never stop asking these questions while always striving for deeper enlightenment.

The Opposing Forces series is centered around exploring the contrary forces of light/dark, and good/evil. It is in essence the struggle between opposites; the constant struggle with an ever-changing balance that either creates harmony or invites chaos. It is the idea that one cannot obtain true peace until they have overcome their inner turmoil and find a center. With every piece I aim to manifest the pivotal roles that these interconnected forces play in our natures.  While also, presenting the struggle between the two, resulting in the personification of this battle in us all. I believe the choices we make define our existence and put us on different paths of self-realization.
