The Twist Series

The Twist series is a play on the idea of the Tree of Life. It is a series about strength, fortitude, and stability.  The tree is ambiguous and abstract with almost life like movements to personify that of human form. It knows no bounds as it outwardly spreads across the canvas. It is a developing pureness in which life is always nurturing. I've incorporated the idea of a moon or sun into these to reflect the pursuit of the heavenly reach and the drive for knowledge to understand that which we do not. The different colors and titles reflect different emotions that we all have shared thus giving us stages within our lives. The simplicity of the shades of color within the trees represent the light and darkness within each of our souls and shows us that beauty can come from the intertwinement of these.
